Its first unveiling took place at the end of this past May, revealing the striking installation by Damien Hirst called “The Unknown” a tiger shark severed in three parts which hovers over the dramatic new lobby bar alongside Hirst’s Pharmaceutical series of technicolor dots. The impressive remodeling project was first teased with a new campaign dubbed “From Dust to Gold”, a dueling marketing concept to embrace the demolition of its storied past and celebrate the unfolding progress at the iconic property.
